These valve seats, which are made of PEEK, are rounded, and are placed between the valve body and the ball. The body can be used to connect two or more pipe or tubing parts. PEEK is an abbreviation of\u00a0Polyether Ether Ketone<\/a>, a high-performance engineered thermoplastic. Because it is chemical and water resistant and can thus be perfectly exposed to hot water or steam without degrading, it is used for many engineering applications. Components of a ball valve, such as seats, as well as\u00a0tubes<\/a>\u00a0are often made of PEEK and can be applied in various forms. Moreover, PEEK is an excellent alternative to\u00a0fluoropolymers<\/a>. For example, PEEK\u2019s abrasion resistance is much higher than that of fluoropolymer (ball valve) seats. It is also a suitable material for tobacco processing applications because it does not contain PTFE or\u00a0PFA<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
