PEEK is the material of choice when it comes to seal production. As it is an organic thermoplastic polymer, the material offers excellent properties with regards to mechanical and chemical resistance. Moreover, it is able to retain these properties even at high temperatures. Consequently, you can heat, cool, and heat a PEEK seal again without any degradation, making it a suitable seal for use in processing technologies and equipment and even in the food industry. Because PEEK seals offer superior mechanical properties, they are the better choice for many applications compared to their PTFE counterparts.
